All they could do is to lock the bus so that Li couldn’t escape. The bus pulled over and most passengers fled, a young veteran tried to intervene with the help of the bus driver and a truck driver who stopped to help but to no avail. Li unleashed a frenzied attack on McLean, repeatedly stabbing the younger man in the neck and chest with a large knife. The 22-year-old was traveling home to Winnipeg where his pregnant girlfriend was waiting.Ī passenger named Vincent Li,boarded the bus .After a stop, Li moved to the back of the bus -and positioned himself next to McLean, who was asleep with his head against the window. Tim McLean, a carnival worker, boarded Greyhound Canada Bus. Theres always more that can be done, but for how long should they have too? Without knowing all the facts of how the line went down, or if witnesses were warned beforehand etc it is hard to say that you have to be angry with them. There is always more things that could be done, but at the same time I know noone actually had to help. Just that little thing they did meant so much to alot of us who had witnessed the accident, but it was actually the police who told us to get help and even offered their services to help us. The store did not have to do anything, but staff were helping look after the kids and the managers called their homes to get meals brought in (we had been warned that we was going to be there for some time, unless we was happy to walk past the scene after they'd got round to questioning ppl). The store had nothing to do with the accident, but they gave the kids toys off their shelves to keep them busy while other staff members looked after the ppl who had witnessed it. I ran into a store with my daughter where there was other ppl being sick and feeling unwell. This man's head came right off and rolled passed us. I witnessed an accident, where a man jumped over a barrier in the road and was then run over by an 18 wheeler.
